MAXIMUM OBLIGATION: $6,000.00
General Statement of Duties:
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in all aspects of teaching skills and strategies for the sport of men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field during practice and meets giving the student-athletes a great experience with the best chance to be successful on and off the track.
2. Provide individual instruction as permitted by the governing rules of the NCAA in the sports of indoor & outdoor track & field.
3. Adhere to and support all rules, conditions and regulations as set forth by Worcester State University, Conference affiliations and the National Collegiate Athletic Association pertaining to all aspects of the team's management.
4. Serves as mandated Title IX Responsible Employee and Campus Security Authority.
5. Participate as needed in a comprehensive recruiting plan.
6. Will have a strong focus on student-athlete retention, the education of student-athlete life skills, and academic progress toward graduation.
7. Accountable for ensuring that affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity are integrally tied to all actions and decisions in areas of responsibility.
8. Responsible for contributing to the WSU Strategic Plan.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Valid driver's license
3. Verified driving record
4. Flexible work hours
5. Complete the NCAA Division III Rules Test
6. Trained in HIPPA
7. CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level in track & field with expertise in Throws.
2. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (i.e., students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, administration and community)
