Primary Purpose: The Emcee is responsible for providing an inclusive and entertaining environment for fans, athletes, staff, faculty, and students. The role will be an extension of marketing in promoting Pacific Athletics through events, social media, etc.
Essential Functions:
Act as host in promoting in-game contests, sponsors, and entertainment.
Engage fans in entertainment such as performances and cheers.
Make periodic announcements when needed.
Attend community events as directed by Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions.
Maintain high-energy and positive attitude.
Speak clearly with exceptional annunciation.
Deliver exceptional customer service.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
One (1) year of experience working in an emcee or PA role with a sports organization at a collegiate, minor league, or professional level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably related to communications, marketing, sports management, or related field.
Experience in hosting large scale events.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Ability to easily stand and move up and down stairs. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Requires extended periods of standing while performing the functions of this position. Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Flexible schedule to accommodate long hours and after-hours events. Average of 10-20 hours/week, minimal overtime may be necessary based on business needs. Work performed during odd hours, nights, and weekends.
Hiring Range: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
