To support the Head M/W Track & Field and Cross Country Coach in establishing and successfully coaching the Men’s and Women’s Track and Cross Country programs within the guidelines of the Grand View University Athletic Department that adheres to the mission of the University.
Essential Functions of Job:
Assist in developing a successful men’s and women’s track and cross country programs.
Recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NAIA rules and regulations.
Coordinate team travel and meal accommodations.
Manage training activities for student-athletes to ensure proper preparation for the Indoor/Outdoor Track and Cross Country seasons.
Develop and implement training for specified event areas.
Oversee Track and Field off-season training.
Assist in the organization of fundraising activities.
Coordinate home meets and camps.
Organize Track & Field and Cross Country visit days and individual recruiting visits.
Assist the athletic sports information office to maintain information on the web page and coordinate television, print and radio information.
Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Follow University procedures associated with the purchase of equipment.
Maintain confidentiality.
Participate in continuing education.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Successful coaching experience at the high school or college level required.
Ability to interact with students, parents, admission staff, and the public in a positive way.

Part-time assistant coaches
Work Study students
Working Conditions:
Some work is performed in a normal office setting. Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours. During course of day, can interact with students, faculty, and staff by computer, phone, or in person.
