Job Description: The Faculty Support provides administrative and clerical support to Law School Faculty members in association with their responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to Law School faculty.
Produce a variety of documents (i.e., exams, letters, memoranda, articles, etc.)
Prepare seating charts, class rosters, signature sheets and flashcards
Update course supplements
Proofread documents
Prepare travel requests and expense reimbursement reports through ConCur
Update and post articles to SSRN
Maintain faculty affiliated pages on the SJU Law website
Order desk copies of textbooks as requested from appropriate publishing company
Distribute mail to Faculty mailboxes daily
Create and maintain various databases, generate labels, and create reports
Update Faculty Support procedure manual
Participate in projects as assigned (including within other departments)
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Five years working experience in an administrative capacity within a professional environment.
Excellent computer and typing skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Strong organizational and planning skills, including ability to multitask.
Detail-oriented with a sense of creativity.
Ability to effectively communicate with faculty and administration
Technical Skills:
Proficient in the use of Office 365
Knowledge of Acrobat Adobe
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual/hourly salary range for this position is $42,000 - $46,200. St. John's University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
