Job Title: Assistant Coordinator of Championships and Alliances, Operations
Job Overview: General coordination of the administrative requirements of selected championships and for assisting with the administration of other sports committees as needed; as well as project/core service duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
Administer duties for assigned championships and sport committees, including updating operations manuals, preparing and disseminating communications, act as liaison for Short’s Travel for committee meetings and championships, and all selections and championships support.
Administer departmental duties and responsibilities, including assistance to membership and public pertaining to assigned championships, correspondence to internal and external contacts, and file maintenance and task assignments in SharePoint.
Correspond (both in writing and on the telephone) with administrators, coaches, student-athletes, parents and the public regarding various topics related to the NCAA championships.
Provide assistance to membership and public pertaining to championships and the Association through phone inquiries and email correspondence.
Prepare and disseminate all electronic correspondence, memorandums, letters, supplements, agendas, certificates, reports and sports/committee documentation as assigned to institutions, conferences, officials, volunteers and sport committees.
Track and enter information into several championship systems, track receipts of host budgets, forms and key contacts.
Assist with the preparation of various meetings (selections, committee meetings, staff meetings), preparing agendas, meeting materials, including PowerPoints, research and other specific information.
Assist other staff with posting of documentation and information on the NCAA.org website.
Additional department duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Business degree preferred.
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree Preferred.
Project management experience required. Ability to create complex documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint from concept to final production.
Excellent data management skills.
Extensive experience with SharePoint.
Excellent office skills, including accurate typing, word processing experience and ability to operate various office equipment.
Excellent communication skills/etiquette.
General familiarity with intercollegiate athletics.
This position will require up to 10% travel.
This position will be based in Indianapolis.
All national office staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
