Assists the Director of Student Activities, Director of Athletics, and Associate Director of Athletics in the day-to-day operations the Student Activities and Athletics Offices. The Administrative Assistant will be assigned to complete all purchasing, travel, and other office duties for the Office of Student Activities and Office of Athletics. Must be able to work with numerous interruptions and maintain a confidential, student and customer friendly disposition and environment. Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment but may require periodic out-of-office meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchasing for Student Activities (all clubs and organizations), Athletics (11 athletic teams), Intramurals, Club Sports, and main Office.
Arrrange travel for Student Activies and Athletics.
Room Reservations for Clubs, Organizations, Intramurals, and Athletics.
Provide support and assistance to office staff for university support systems such as BUY.IU, SIS, IUIE, Ad Astra, Box, Egencia, and ChromeRiver.
High school diploma or GED and three years of experience.
Proficient with computers and software, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of personal information. Ability to effectively interact with professionalism and discretion with a variety of personalities. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
