The Dance Club Coach will work under the direction of the Coordinator of Club Sports, Intramurals and Summer Camps and will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Maris College Dance Club Team including practices, travel, events, and budget.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and 3-5 years of previous experience as a competitive dancer or coach of a team is required. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with other coaches, staff and student leadership. Valid state driver’s license is necessary.
Oversight of all aspects of the Dance Club Team including:
Attending all practices and travel with team to all competitions, providing performance advice and leadership to club members
Assisting student leadership in making decisions about club operations
Supervising team tryouts
And other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience as a competitive college level dancer or coach of a college level team is preferred.
