Carnegie Mellon University's Athletic department is searching for a part -time Assistant Softball Coach in its intercollegiate softball program. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III and University Athletic Association.
Core responsibilities will include:
Assisting the coaching staff with skill instruction, community involvement, practice/game coaching and camps;
Developing hitters and infielders;
Coordinating and implementing drills in practice;
Identifying potential recruits at on-campus camps;
Assisting needed with travel arrangements for team;
Maintaining equipment inventory
Maintaining and updating internal team statistics, scouting reports and game plans;
Interacting with various campus offices and departments;
Promoting participation in community service activities by softball student athletes;
Maintaining contact with high schools and clubs for camp promotions, scouting and public relations efforts.

This position is a seasonal part-time, academic year appointment (September-May) .
Bachelor's degree is required;
Up to two years collegiate coaching experience preferred;
Previous collegiate experience as a player required.
