University Club Sports - Women's Ultimate Frisbee-INQ0238848
Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a part-time university club sports women's ultimate Frisbee club coach. The university club sports women's ultimate Frisbee club coach will possess the following requirements:
Possess knowledge of effective training methods and use this knowledge to create a training program that is consistent with competing at high level college ultimate
Make this plan and its motivations and explanations available to the team
Implement this plan, including but not limited to:
giving feedback both during and outside of practice
providing guidance to those who wish to do additional training outside of practice
Assist the team in communication with USAUltimate
Coach must make every attempt to attend all practices
If unable to attend a practice, must give the captains advanced warning and help plan for the practice
Practices will be held two or three times per week during the fall and spring seasons
Begin and end all practices on time
Coach must make every effort to attend all tournaments
Must be present at the USAUltimate College Series tournaments in the spring, including Conference Championships, Regionals, and potentially Nationals
If unable to attend a tournament, must give captains advanced warning so they can plan to either attend a different tournament or find a substitute coach for the weekend in question
Advise the core in choosing a tournament schedule
Bachelor's degree required with competitive club, high school or collegiate coaching experience preferred. Position will be academic year through May. This is an Independent Contractor position with the Carnegie Mellon University Athletics Department. This is not an employee position. The Independent Contractor will work closely with student organizations, while the contracting relationship is managed by the Athletics Department. The successful applicant must be willing to complete all necessary Independent Contractor requirements. Background check is required prior to employment.
