Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY: Supervise student teachers in the Saginaw, Roscommon, Arenac, Ogemaw, Iosco, Genesee, Huron, Tuscola, Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Jackson, Monroe, Kent, Ottawa, Ingham, Kalamazoo, Barry, Montcalm, Shiawassee, Wexford, Ostego, Gladsone and other counties as placements dictate. Offer feedback and support to students during Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer semesters, work during school day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Observe student teachers in the classroom
Offer constructive verbal and written feedback and support
Correspond with student teachers through e-mail and Canvas
Facilitate four small group seminars after the school day
Attend large group seminars and/or professional development
RELATED DUTIES: Observation and evaluation of student teachers in the classroom during regular school hours.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Acting Assistant Dean/Director of Clinical Experiences
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Education, Secondary, Special Education or related field
Extensive experience as teacher and/or administrator within P-12 education
Ability to successfully interact with students, faculty, staff, area school administrators and teachers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of College of Education field work program preferred.
