Part-Time Assistant Men's Club Soccer Coach, University Club Sports-INQ0229883
Carnegie Mellon University's Athletics department is searching for a part - time Men's Club Soccer Coach to work in University Club Sports. This is an exciting opportunity if you thrive in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing coaching, tactical, and personnel decisions for the team. You will closely work with team-elected club leaders (assistant coach, president, and two captains) regarding the direction and training of the team, while the club leaders manage the logistics, finances, and scheduling of the team. The team has been founded on an attacking, possession-based style of play and we would like to continue in this direction.
Core responsibilities will include:
* Leading practices, (typically held twice per week);
* Providing instruction for upcoming matches;
* Preparation for upcoming matches;
* Travel to games with the team;
* Provide support in terms of team talks, line-ups, managing substitutes, etc.

You should be able to travel and be willing to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
This is an Independent Contractor position with the Carnegie Mellon Athletics Dept. This position will be academic year August through May. This is not an employee position. The Independent Contractor will work closely with student organizations, while the contracting relationship is managed by Athletics Dept.
* Bachelor's degree required;
* Competitive club, high school or collegiate coaching experience preferred.
