Located five miles from downtown Boston, Tufts University is a Division III member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the highly-competitive New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The Athletics Administrative Coordinator provides advanced administrative support for the Department of Athletics, primarily for the Athletics Business Office, but also in support of the senior administrative team. The qualified candidate will:
Serve in a highly visible role, as a resource for the Department with students, coaches, faculty and staff.
Be a detail-oriented, innovative multi-tasker and team player.
Manage complex situations and confidential requests, including all information pertinent to the hiring and termination of Department employees, submission of financial data and payroll documentation.
Submit, track and procure Department orders with designated vendors.
Plan and coordinate Department meetings, functions, special events and projects.
Complete other related office duties as assigned.
Minimum of 5 years administrative experience with High School diploma OR minimum of 3 years administrative experience with Bachelor's Degree.
Advanced knowledge of technology platforms (Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Prior experience with administrative tasks and duties.
Prior experience in a University financial setting and/or within collegiate athletics.
