The ideal candidate will be able to facilitate all technical directing functions, e.g. operating video switchers, implementing sources, creating displays, interfacing with external devices, creating user and suite preferences. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced live environment, and must display keen troubleshooting skills.Typical Responsibilities:-Operate technical broadcast equipment and switchers used during live sporting events and productions-Live switching between cameras, replay, videos, and graphics-Directing cameras, configuring switcher and router-Problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast-paced high-pressure environment -Take direction and respond quickly and accurately to live broadcast switching calls-Communicate professionally with on-air broadcast crewGeneral Skills:-Proficient with Ross Carbonite multi-format HD switchers, Ross BlackStorm clip server, Chyron graphics system, multi-channel ME, and essential equipment found on remote sports broadcast trucks-Must have basic camera direction skills for pre-production-Ability to interpret complex information and disseminate it to proper personnel-Knowledge of broadcast methods of measuring video signals to ensure quality control of in-venue operations.-Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting techniques and effective communication to best convey the issues necessary for resolution-Demonstrated organizational, efficiency and planning skills-Knowledge of sporting event rules and policies helpful-Must be reliable and show up on time for scheduled call times-Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and as part of a teamMinimum Qualifications:-A Bachelor Degree and 3 years of experience.
