Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY: To assist in developing, promoting and supervising of the Special Teams and Linebackers for the Football Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that all relevant institutional, conference and NCAA rules and regulations are followed. Including, but not limited to: student-athlete eligibility, recruiting, financial aid, scheduling and academic progress.
Create Special Teams playbook.
Evaluate personnel in conjunction with coaching staff.
Install scheme in conjunction with coaching staff.
Develop goals and objectives in conjunction with the Head Coach.
Coordinate and organize practice segments in conjunction with staff including individual, group and full team periods.
Breakdown opponent video and create weekly scouting report.
Responsible for development of kickers and punters.
Mentor and instruct linebacking corps including personal and academic guidance.
Develop and install teaching progression and drill progression.
Assist with all phases of defense in conjunction with staff and Defensive Coordinator.
Assist with opponent video breakdown and weekly scouting report.
RELATED DUTIES: Recruit specified territory.
Assist with various phases in relation to the operation of the Football program as directed by the Head Coach such as: Camps, Travel, Academics, Fundraising and Off Season Program.
Five years of coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level.
