STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Athletics Recruiter at Bristol Community College reports directly to the Director of Athletics and Recreation and will assist in the college's enrollment efforts by serving as a recruitment liaison between Athletics and Recreation and Admissions. This position coordinates the recruitment process of student-athletes at Bristol Community College.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Athletics and Recreation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively coordinate the recruitment efforts of the Athletics department coaching staff.
Participate in the development and implementation of enrollment strategies directed at student-athlete enrollment.
Provide accurate information about degree programs and admission procedures.
Coordinate on-site high school visits with guidance counselors, athletics directors, coaches, etc.
Serve as a representative at high school college fairs with admissions staff.
Effectively coordinate on-campus visits for student-athletes, as well as schedule meetings as necessary.
Monitor applicant progress on student-athletes, including high school transcripts and other academic information, in order to advise coaches, students, and families.
Assist with the coordination of family nights and schedule coaches' attendance for all family night events and prospect visits.
Work closely with the Directors of Admissions & Athletics and Recreation to recommend and reach enrollment goals for each sport.
Serve as a liaison between coaches and the Admissions Department.
Assist coaches in managing their individual recruiting database.
Complete the process of working with student-athletes from their first interest in Bristol, to assignment to coach, to assignment to student-athlete academic advisor.
Perform administrative tasks associated with department activities.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Recreation and Director of Admissions.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in higher education or related field.
Experience in athletics and admissions processes in a higher education environment.
Experience in intercollegiate athletics as a coach.
Knowledge of computer programs as they relate to the position.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work nights and weekends.

Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience recruiting student-athletes in a community college setting.
Strong ability to build relationships within our recruitment area.
Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
POSITION STATUS: This is a 12-month, part-time, non-unit position with no benefits, 10 hours per week, some nights and weekends required.
SALARY: $22.00 per hour.
