BARWIS is presently accepting applications for a full-time strength coach at its Performance Center in Southeast Michigan (Plymouth, Mich.). The applicant will need to: *Coach athletes -- professional, Olympic, collegiate, high school, and youth -- and general population using only the BARWIS Methods. *Coach Injury Recovery Program clients with Neurological *Reengineering methods. *Personal train clients. *Run on-site school programs. *Run Stay Strong classes. *Update training cycles. *Review training goals with clients. *Assist Center Director of Training Operations as needed. *Encourage clients to try our supplements and apparel. *Ensure that nobody is videotaping or recording training sessions. *Keep the floor and weight room clean of debris and safe for clients to use. *Open up the gym/closing down the gym as needed. *Take photographs of training sessions, athletes and staff.
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Exercise Science or a health related field and be working toward certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association, SCCC through the CSCCa, and/or hold a USAW-Sports Performance Certificate.
Candidates must hold a minimum 3.0 GPA within their undergraduate field of study.
Candidates with an athletic background or experience (volunteer/intern) is preferred.
Candidates must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively work with others.
Candidates must possess skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Master’s degree in related area preferred.
