SVSU is looking for a dedicated, determined, passionate individual to recruit prospective graduate students and represent SVSU Graduate Programs. Individual will engage prospective graduate students in one-on-one meetings, present to large groups, industry specific events, college fairs, community and networking events and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Senior Director and other Admissions Office staff members to implement a recruitment plan to achieve SVSU's enrollment goals.
Take SVSU's empowering message to the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond by travelling to graduate recruitment fairs, regional chamber of commerce and industry specific day/evening events.
Create and maintain collaborative relationships with Great Lakes Bay Region business community, non-profit community, healthcare community and educational community.
Support perspective students in a professional and ethical manner through prompt, consistent and accurate communication.
Support students through the application and enrollment process through use of Radius, our CRM.
Prepare periodic and special reports for the Senior Director.
In collaboration with the Senior Director, work with the University Communications Team to create recruitment materials and messaging.
Monitor social media channels and design/develop content for various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIN, Twitter, etc).
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director.
Accurately enter all necessary data into an electronic contact management system to produce a weekly log of inquiries and direct student follow-up through phone and email channels.
Submit appropriate weekly reports in a timely manner to the Senior Director of Admissions.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of each SVSU graduate program.
Participate in division-related programs and services for new graduate students (e.g., orientation).
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required.
Valid Michigan driver's license.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to address large groups.
Ability to work independently while engaging as a member of the Graduate Admissions Team.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Ability to plan and organize a multifaceted personal and team workload.
Demonstrate high level of initiative, enthusiasm and perseverance.
Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends and statewide travel.
Ability to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment.
Ability to mentally and physically perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Experience in college admissions or professional sales is preferred.
