The CSIS department at Saginaw Valley State University is one of the fastest growing departments in the university, and we invite applicants for a full time tenure track faculty position in the Computer Science & Information Systems Department beginning Fall 2019.
Primary responsibilities include teaching upper division courses in the undergraduate level and developing and teaching graduate level courses in the master's program, such as Cloud and Big Data Analytics.
Successful candidates will also be expected to engage in active research involving both undergraduate and graduate students.
CSIS faculty members publish in prestigious journals and present at conferences including IEEE and ACM. Above all, current faculty members are top rated teachers.
This position represents a chance for a talented scholar to gain experience and achieve accomplishments in teaching and research, while participating in outreach and service both within the university and among the local community.
CSIS faculty advise student organizations involved in a range of activities including ACM, Google IgniteCS, Hour of Code, Girls Who Code, and TEDxSVSU (TED Talks).

Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline, ABD considered.
Passion for teaching
