The Assistant Director of Compliance will serve as a member of the compliance staff and reports to the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance. The Assistant Director of Compliance’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: evaluating the high school transcripts of prospective student-athletes and working with the coaches, high schools, and NCAA Eligibility Center to ensure that incoming student-athletes are on track to meet NCAA eligibility requirements; monitoring playing and practice season information related to countable athletically related activities (CARA) logs; serving as the liaison to the Geaux Cajuns Program for Student-Athlete Affairs; assisting with all NCAA related initiatives including compliance rules education, compliance monitoring, coordination of required NCAA reports, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures; and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree is required; Juris Doctor or Master’s Degree is preferred. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and an ability to work under time sensitive deadlines. Experience with ARMS Software and all NCAA Apps is preferred.
