Saginaw Valley State University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the Chemistry Department. Primary responsibilities will be teaching the general chemistry sequence, with additional expectations for teaching upper level classes in polymer chemistry and/or biochemistry.
While emphasis at SVSU is placed on teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to take part in service opportunities within the department, university, and community. Additionally, development of an active research program involving undergraduates is required. Those whose research complements that already happening in the department are especially encouraged to apply.
The ACS-certified Chemistry Department is fully equipped with instrumentation and teaching facilities. It houses several majors: Chemistry, ACS-approved Chemistry, Biochemistry, Business Chemistry, and Chemical Physics.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required or ABD.
Postdoctoral and/or teaching experience is desirable.
