The Theatre Department at Saginaw Valley State University seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure track appointment as an assistant professor to begin Fall 2019. The department seeks a theatre generalist to teach departmental service courses such as Introduction to Theatre and Theatre in Performance, in addition to advanced courses such as Directing, Stage Management and Theatre History, as well as direct plays in rotation with other departmental faculty.
Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MFA or Ph.D. in Theatre from an accredited institution
Teaching experience at the University level
Evidence of competence in stage direction and at least one other area of production related activities (Stage Combat, Arts Management, Dramaturgy and/or Stage Management.)
Educational theatre experience at the high school, community theatre and/or professional theatre level is desirable.
Extensive stage combat teaching credits
Recent/current production credits
