As a member of the Forestry team, incumbents in this position performs semi-skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the urban forest including the use of hand tools, power tools and various equipment
Most positions require that the incumbent work Monday through Friday, which may also require weekend and evening hours on a regular or occasional basis. This temporary employment may be scheduled through the year on a full-time, 40-hour per week basis, depending on the needs of the town. However, this position is time-limited, work generally occurs during a six-month period, and hours worked generally do not exceed 1,040 hours during that time-limited, temporary seasonal period of employment. This position, and this position description, do not create a contract, and do not alter the temporary nature of the job, or the employee’s “at will” status of employment. Employees may be terminated from town employment at any time and this seasonal position does not lead to regular full-time employment.
Pay starts at $13.93 per hour DOQE
