The Administrative Assistant position exists to perform administrative duties to support the programs of assigned sports in an effort to achieve operational excellence. Responsibilities include: exemplary customer service to internal and external constituencies; supporting assigned sport programs through establishing travel arrangements and providing general correspondence; preparing travel reimbursements, game contracts, and other essential documents; coordinating ground transportation for most sport programs; performing receptionist duties; and maintaining student-athlete databases.

Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Some experience in an administrative and/or business related field required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of office practices and procedures. Ability to utilize office equipment, facilities and materials needed to complete assigned tasks. Ability to prepare reports, handle information requests and perform general administrative functions. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Adherence to University policies for purchasing card. Ability to handle duties that require researching and collecting data. Ability to present a professional demeanor while delivering a high level of internal and external customer service. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creativity and problem-solving skills.
Required Computer Applications: Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
Preferred Computer Applications: Experience with Chrome River expense tracking, Apple operating systems, and FileMaker Pro preferred. Ability to create spreadsheets, use of software to create office letterhead, business cards, and various forms preferred.
