Assists with Athletic Department travel financing and reporting, including charge verifications, cash advances, reimbursements, PCards, per diem cards, and account reconciliations. Assists with record retention and preparation of deposits. Performs other duties as assigned.
55% - Essential - Athletic Travel:
Assists with Athletic Department travel financing and reporting, including charge verifications, cash advances, reimbursements and account reconciliations. Helps maintain travel records for all sports. Helps compile taxable cash and non-cash income for reporting to University payroll. Processes payments for per diem cards.
20% - Essential - Purchasing:
Processes purchase orders in University PeopleSoft and BuyWays systems. Matches receipts to p-card statements to ensure that transactions are valid charges. Enters correct department, project grant, and expenditure account codes for each transaction.
15% - Essential - Cash Receipting:
Helps prepare documentation for depositing and accounting for non-ticket revenue for Athletic Department, including cash receipt log, bank deposit-slip cash receipt transmittal preparation, and account coding. Communicates deposit activity to revenue account custodians.
5% - Essential - Recordkeeping and Reporting: Serves as backup for Business Operations Coordinator and Accounts Receivable positions.
5% - Essential - Provide support to Business Office colleagues with projects as needed
A high school diploma and related financial experience. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
