Posting Summary: The Operations Assistant for Women's Lacrosse position exists to provide a high level of operational and logistical support to the Intercollegiate Athletic sport of Women's Lacrosse and to assist in achieving a nationally recognized program, both on and off the field, in a manner that meets all guidelines set by the University of Virginia, the ACC, and the NCAA. Responsibilities include: exemplary customer service to internal and external constituencies; performing operational functions and tasks for the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach and coaching staff as requested; supporting operational and game day needs; and performing other duties as assigned that support, or add value to, the goals and objectives of the unit. This is a restricted term position with an anticipated end date of 4/30/2019. Continuation in the position will be evaluated annually.
Required Minimum Level of Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Some experience and working knowledge of the sport program of Lacrosse required.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Some experience working with a Division I institution preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to be flexible in terms of work schedule to accommodate the game day and events schedule. Ability to prepare basic reports, provide information and perform operational functions. Ability to communicate accurately and in an effective manner - spoken and written. Ability to develop good working relationships with all internal and external constituencies.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of NCAA, ACC rules and regulations for the sport of Lacrosse preferred.
Required Computer Applications: Some knowledge of computers - Microsoft Office.
Preferred Computer Applications: Intermediate knowledge of computers and software: Microsoft Office and Excel preferred.
