Title: Office of Student Financial Services Representative
Department: Student Financial Services
This position serves as the initial contact for the Student Financial Services Office providing professional and positive customer service. Assist students with questions, paperwork, requirements, as they relate to financial aid and student receivables.
Duties and Responsibilities
Through a walk-in service center operation, engages visitors and provides University information related to a broad range of departments, policies, and procedures and assists the campus community with financial aid and student account-related functions.
Post payments and adjustments to student account system.
Reinstates student classes after the initial drop period for students who seek to finalize their semester registration.
Assesses the student's individual need; provides required forms, advises on required actions, refers to appropriate departments.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, on a variety of financial aid and enrollment related information.
Receives and reviews large volumes of University and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Addresses confidential material and communications.
Provides advisement on the University tuition payment plan process.
Corresponds on the Office of Student Financial Services webmail account, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
Processes StormCard payments.
Assist the Customer Service Call Center during peak times.
Confers with the Senior Assistant Director on issues that may impact Student Financial Services office function and responsibilities.
High School Diploma required
Bachelors degree preferred
0-2 years Customer Service experience preferred
Customer Service experience preferred
Knowledge of Financial Aid a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office-Excel, Access preferred
