Student recruitment through attending college fair programs and scheduling private/guidance office visits at secondary schools in primary and/or secondary market areas. Some visitation to community colleges may also be required. Extensive travel, and evening, and weekend work are required.
Develop an in-depth knowledge base about assigned recruitment territories as necessary for planning/scheduling. Create, foster, manage partnerships with selected schools.
Conduct on-campus group information sessions, deliver PowerPoint presentations and meet individually as necessary with admission office visitors.
Engage in extensive student, parent, and high school counselor contact both on and off campus by e-mail, phone, on/off campus meetings and receptions, etc.
Evaluate student applications for university admission in a timely and efficient manner.
Develop an in-depth knowledge base about the university, its academic and extracurricular programs, student support services, and other pertinent details.
Liaise with administrators throughout the university community as necessary; enrollment management units, marketing and communications, faculty/dean offices, relationship managers, residence life, other support and administrative areas.
Admission counselors should have the ability to work independently and possess a high energy level. Overtime is required as necessary.
Must have and retain a valid driver's license.
