Provides oversight and management for all aspects of the sport's video operations for women's basketball. Creates highlight videos and off-court videos. During basketball season, provides a variety of services for the WBB program. Coordinates and administers all video functions and taping of practices and games. Performs other duties as assigned.
40% - Essential - Direct Video Operations: Collaborates with coaches relative to practice and game plans. Provides oversight and setup of all video equipment for practices and games. Responsible for independently directing student-assistants and videographers relative to their responsibilities to capture video on various aspects of practices and games. Maintains inventory of all video equipment and ensures its security. Oversees upkeep, including cleaning and repair of video equipment. Accountable for developing or managing budget for video operations.
25% - Essential - Player Development/Video Editing: Organizes and produces practice film to assist in the improvement of performance for coaches and student-athletes. Creates and allows video access for coaches and student-athletes for skill development. Manages and prepares individual video clips from both games and practices to assist coaches and student-athletes in skill development. This includes identifying and categorizing specific team play sets, player and team tendencies for both opponents and our team. Prepares coaching staff with film on upcoming opponents for scouting purposes leading to potential wins and losses.
15% - Essential - File Exchange Coordination & Scouting: Coordinates and executes film exchange agreements with opponents throughout the season. Maintains expertise relative to exchange and editing software (e.g., Synergy, Synergy Editor, Synergy Video Express and Sportscode). Records broadcast productions of basketball opponents' games. Develops and manages a library of videos received from opponents. Responsible for preparing scouting materials for coaches.
10% - Essential - Video Equipment Procurement & Repair: Responsible for researching and evaluating video technology, software upgrades, and equipment and making decisions with the Head Coach regarding purchases. Maintains inventory of all video equipment. Manages all upgrades to video equipment used to record, view or store game and practice video and tapes. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving all video related help requests in a timely manner.
10% - Essential - General Basketball Operations: Assists with all on-campus recruiting, official and unofficial visits. Independently produces creative basketball highlight and recruiting videos. Provides content and assists in updating the women's basketball recruiting website.
A high school diploma and experience or additional education in production of radio or television programs.
